American Concrete Institute (ACI)

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is technical and educational consensus organization dedicated to improving the design, construction, manufacture and maintenance of concrete products and structures. Among ACI International’s 18,000 members are designers, architects, civil engineers, educators, contractors, concrete craftsmen and technicians, and manufacturers from around the world.

ACI was founded in 1905 as a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to public service and to representing user interests in the field of concrete. It gathers and distributes information on the improvement of design, construction and maintenance of concrete products and structures. ACI’s committees, and the Institute as a whole, operate under a consensus format. Activities include the development of building codes and specification standards; analysis of research and development results; presentation of construction and repair techniques, and education. ACI is often considered the world’s leading authority on concrete technology.

ACI – the American Concrete Institute is an authority and resource for the development, dissemination, and adoption of standards, technical resources, educational & training programs, certification programs, and proven expertise for individuals and organizations involved in concrete design, construction and materials.

The ACI mainly focuses on concrete, structural engineering and construction. Concrete is one of the most common construction materials used worldwide, but it presents many safety issues. These issues are present in all phases of production, including the manufacture of cement and concrete products as well as when concrete is used in construction.

TASK - Telangana academy for Skill Knowledge

The key focus at Telangana Academy for Skills and Knowledge is to enhance employability quotient of young graduates in our state and enable them to choose multiple avenues as they graduate. TASK enables a collaboration platform between Government, Academia and Industry to enhance skilling, research and entrepreneurship among youth in Telangana.

The post-pandemic economic situation requires the youth to look at entrepreneurship as an option. Telangana, being a frontrunner, has set up a very strong and holistic entrepreneurial ecosystem. We need more youth from the rural areas to become solopreneurs, ecopreneurs, and entrepreneurs, thus becoming employment generators. Social innovation and rural entrepreneurship in healthcare, agri-tech, education, appliances, etc., have tremendous scope in our state. Hence, in addition to skilling with the aim of enhancing employability, TASK is also involved in creating an entrepreneurial mindset in students through innovative programs such as i4TS.

Some of the key initiatives at TASK include

  1. Soft Skill development programs for Graduates
  2. Faculty Development Programs at colleges
  3. Initiatives that nurture product innovation among students & faculty in collaboration with JNTU and HYSEA
  4. Technology Entrepreneurship Program for students in collaboration with ISB
