M.Tech - Structural Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering, established in the year 2009, offers Under Graduate (B.Tech) courses and Post Graduate (M.Tech-Structural Engineering) programmes. To meet the growing demands in the construction industry by way of producing competent professional civil engineers, M.Tech-Structural Engineering started in the year 2009 with an intake of 18. M.Tech-Structural Engineering involves the advanced study of the course’s components such as Structural Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Structural Dynamics, Structural Reliability and Optimization, Reinforced and Pre-Stressed Concrete etc. The department having advanced lab facilities like Advanced Structural Design lab, Advanced Concrete lab, Advanced Structural Engineering lab etc,. It is aimed to produce graduates who have the knowledge and skills necessary for identifying and assessing design alternatives and the related to social, economic, environmental, and public safety impacts.
