Functions and Responsibilities

  • Designing and periodically revising the curriculum for all academic programs of the institute in compliance with established norms.
  • Organizing and ensuring adequate teaching resources to support the successful completion of academic programs.
  • Arranging and managing the conduct of examinations as required.
  • Recommending to the Governing Body the conferment of degrees and academic titles.
  • Overseeing the operations and management of the institute's central library.
  • Promoting and facilitating research initiatives within the institute.
  • Establishing collaborations with other academic institutions and industry partners.
  • Creating an enabling environment to foster entrepreneurship development.
  • Maintaining and enforcing discipline among students.
  • Facilitating and supervising co-curricular activities to enhance student engagement and development.
  • Motivating students through awards, stipends, scholarships, medals, and prizes.
  • Guiding students in leveraging placement and training opportunities to advance their careers.
  • Constituting committees comprising faculty members and external experts to address specific academic issues and implementing their recommendations after due deliberation.
  • Appointing review committees periodically to assess academic activities, including curricula and academic policies, and acting on their recommendations after careful evaluation.
  • Strategizing and implementing plans for the institute's overall academic growth, including periodic assessments, and making recommendations to the Governing Body as necessary.
