Established in 2009, the Department of Civil Engineering offers a B. Tech in Civil Engineering and an M. Tech in Structural Engineering (since 2014). The B. Tech program holds NBA accreditation (Tier–I, Washington Accord) for four consecutive cycles — 2016, 2019, 2023, and 2025 — valid up to June 30, 2028, reflecting its commitment to global quality standards.

Civil Engineering is a multidisciplinary domain covering Structural, Geotechnical, Environmental, Hydraulics, Transportation, and Water Resources Engineering. The department emphasizes sustainable infrastructure development through innovation, precision, and social responsibility.

Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and the Advanced Concrete Research and Innovation Centre (ACRIC), the department promotes sustainable construction practices, green technologies, and eco-friendly materials.

Learning is enriched through experiential and technology-driven methods, including interactive lectures, MOOCs, and industry workshops. Students gain hands-on exposure to advanced tools such as Revit, ArcGIS, DGPS, Total Station, and STAAD. Pro, and undertake internships with reputed organizations to bridge academics and professional practice.

The M. Tech (Structural Engineering) program provides advanced knowledge in Structural Analysis, Solid Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, and Structural Dynamics, preparing students for careers in research, design, and global infrastructure development.
