Disciplinary Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:
- To maintain a quiet and serene academic environment on campus.
- To keep students from getting into physical errors.
- To ensure that all students have ID cards on them when on campus.
- Enforce a complete ban on pupils using cell phones while in class.
- To keep track of student movement in the college and discourage students from lingering in the hallways during working hours.
- To prevent students from leaving college early without first obtaining authorization from the appropriate authorities.
- Usage of abuse language, Drugs, Smoking and all related un-lawful activities will be completely restricted on college campuses.
- During the college woes, maintain adequate discipline in the college canteen and student waiting room.
Anti-Ragging
Functions & Responsibilities:
- To secure almost all areas in the college (i.e. canteen, parking places, different blocks, playgrounds, etc.) and ensure that at least one faculty member is present at a particular time at all locations to avoid ragging.
- To take precautions to avoid ragging activities at other locations like bus stops and give instructions to appoint student volunteers and secret informers at various boarding points.
- To conduct anti-ragging campaigns in the form of flexes, posters, and boards in college premises and surrounding areas where there is a chance of ragging.
- To associate with the Grievances & Redressal Committee and help in anti-ragging activities.
- To conduct awareness programs on anti-ragging in the form of meetings and PPTs for senior students, faculty, and non-college personnel.
- To conduct meetings whenever required and discuss relevant issues, intimating the Director.
Placement and Career Empowerment Center (PACE)
Functions & Responsibilities:
- To assist the Placement Cell in maintaining strong connections with alumni.
- To support the Placement Cell in organizing various placement processes, including written tests, group discussions, technical interviews, and HR interviews during campus placement drives.
- To organize initiatives that enhance Institute–Industry interaction.
- To coordinate soft skills training programs across departments.
- To inform students well in advance about upcoming placement drives and selection processes.
- To guide students in preparing effectively for placement drives.
- To facilitate internships for third- and fourth-year students.
- To provide students with information about diverse career opportunities in today’s competitive job market.

Internal Quality Assurance Center (IQAC)
Functions & Responsibilities:
Establishment of Quality Benchmarks:
- Develop and apply quality benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities to ensure a consistent standard of performance.
- Create and implement direct and indirect assessment mechanisms to evaluate benchmarks for various courses, subjects, and program outcomes.
- Regularly assess and track the attainment of course outcomes (COs) and program outcomes (POs), ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
Dissemination and Promotion of Quality Parameters:
- Disseminate information on quality parameters across all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding of institutional standards.
- Promote the development and application of these benchmarks through workshops, seminars, and the formation of quality circles to engage all stakeholders in continuous improvement.
Facilitating a Learner-Centric Environment:
- Encourage a learner-centric approach by creating a conducive environment for quality education and fostering faculty development to adopt innovative teaching practices.
- Support faculty in adopting the necessary knowledge and technology to enhance participatory teaching and learning processes, including the integration of ICT.
Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback Analysis:
- Regularly collect and analyze feedback from students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of institutional processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop metrics and evaluate stakeholder feedback to measure satisfaction and guide improvements in quality standards.
Organizing and Encouraging Professional Development:
- Organize a variety of professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and symposia for both faculty and students.
- Encourage active participation of students and faculty in these events, ensuring they gain valuable insights and contribute to the overall quality enhancement process.
- Document the impact of these programs, highlighting improvements in skills, knowledge, and institutional processes.
Industry-Institute Interaction and Networking:
- Facilitate Industry–Institute Interaction programs that engage students and faculty, promoting real-world exposure and aligning academic efforts with industry needs.
- Encourage participation in professional development activities and associations to expand knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities for both students and faculty.
Development of Quality Culture:
- Foster a robust quality culture among all stakeholders of the institution, emphasizing continuous learning, innovation, and improvement in academic and administrative practices.
- Ensure that institutional quality standards are well communicated and understood by all stakeholders, creating a shared commitment to excellence.
Annual Quality Assurance Reporting:
- Prepare and publish the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), documenting all quality improvement initiatives and their impacts.
- Ensure that the AQAR is made available on the institution's website for transparency and to meet accreditation requirements.
- Act as the central agency responsible for overseeing and coordinating all quality-related activities within the institution.
Documentation of Quality Improvement Initiatives:
- Maintain detailed documentation of all quality-related programs and activities, tracking their outcomes and contributions to institutional growth and improvement.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of these initiatives and incorporate findings into future quality enhancement strategies.
Research and Ethics
Functions & Responsibilities:
- To organize research workshops for the faculty and students.
- To motivate faculty to publish research papers in UGC CARE and other reputed indexed journals.
- To encourage faculty to undertake major and minor research projects.
- To inspire students to participate in research conventions.
- To organize intra-college research or PPT presentation competitions for students.
- To guide and motivate students to write research papers.
- To organize research activities for the staff and students of the college.
- To organize orientation lectures in research for project work students.
- To assist the departments in organizing research seminars.

ICT and Self E-Learning
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Providing exposure on ICT in the present-day context.
- Enhancing knowledge of using websites and contacting people through e-mail.
- Providing online information about government websites and government schemes.
- Promote the use of ICT tools: Encourage faculty to integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools such as multimedia, virtual classrooms, and simulations in the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning.
- Support in e-learning resources: Provide necessary support and infrastructure for developing and implementing e-learning resources, including online tutorials, lecture recordings, and interactive learning modules.
- Maintenance of ICT infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of ICT infrastructure, including hardware (computers, projectors, networking equipment) and software (learning management systems, online platforms).
- Establish online learning platforms: Develop or manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other online platforms for the distribution of course content, assignments, quizzes, and assessments.
- Promote Open Educational Resources (OER): Encourage faculty to create and share open educational resources such as video lectures, eBooks, and other materials for easy access by students.
- Support self-paced learning: Ensure the availability of online courses or resources that allow students to learn at their own pace, especially for challenging subjects.

Innovation & Incubation Center
Functions & Responsibilities:
- To encourage student innovators and support them for start-ups.
- To highlight innovative projects carried out by faculty members and students of MLRITM.
- To conduct various activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship within the institute for entrepreneurial skill development.
- Integration of management and engineering programs to develop innovative schemes related to entrepreneurship.
- To provide guidance for start-ups during the gestation period.
- Organization of periodic workshops, seminars, and interactions in collaboration with established entrepreneurs and professionals.
- Development of a network among entrepreneurs and innovators around the locality.
- Organization of industry-academia interaction to promote innovations and entrepreneurship.
- To encourage students to take up innovative projects and contests.

General Maintenance Committee & Housekeeping Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:
- To establish regular maintenance of the buildings and equipment of the institute.
- To correspond with the people responsible for maintenance and monitor the quality of work and adherence to schedules.
- To monitor general maintenance in the institute on a daily basis.
- To oversee annual general maintenance of the institute and related infrastructure.
- To plan and monitor major and minor repairs of laboratory equipment and office accessories.
- To plan staff assignments for daily and routine maintenance, and ensure their work is monitored daily through supervisors.
- Maintain a complaint register in the Admin Hall for all maintenance issues, ensuring complaints are resolved promptly and reviewed daily.
Time Table Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:
- To prepare the timetable in accordance with the academic calendar for all departments.
- Maintain the stream-wise Master/Class timetable in a common template.
- Prepare the timetable plan ahead of every semester in consultation with departments.
- Schedule arrangement of classrooms, laboratories, and seminar halls based on availability.
- Ensure better utilization of time and resources.
- Provide a balanced workload for faculty to improve performance.
- Prepare the class timetable at the beginning of each semester with active involvement of departmental committee members.
- Ensure that conflicts in the timetable are avoided.
- Provide information regarding timetables and venues.
- Coordinate the timetables and make them available before the commencement of each semester.
- Ensure that timetables are displayed on departmental notice boards before each semester.
- Review and manage timetables and address any conflicts or clashes.
- Prepare class and laboratory timetables at the beginning of every semester.
- Prepare faculty timetables and workload distribution.
- Maintain a timetable committee file.
- Post class and lab timetables on respective classroom boards.
- Ensure individual faculty timetables are distributed before the semester begins.
- Work collaboratively with other members to meet timetable requirements.
- Ensure clashes and conflicts in staff timetables are avoided and resolved.
Transport Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Set the time of starting of the buses from the originating points to ensure timely arrival at college and compliance by drivers.
- Supervise daily bus operations and issue necessary instructions to bus in-charges.
- Coordinate various bus routes regularly with the help of bus in-charges.
- Handle transport-related complaints from students, parents, staff, and drivers and resolve issues.
- Review and arrange all transportation paperwork, including driver logs, trip reports, and invoices.
- Support management in supervising transportation personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all security and operational procedures.
- Recommend additional transport facilities to management as needed.
- Review the operation of vehicles across all routes.
- Oversee maintenance of transport vehicles and manage tasks related to the RTO office.
- Display the list of students and faculty for each route.
- Stay connected with drivers and bus in-charges during journeys; assist in troubleshooting and arrange relief vehicles when needed.
- Scrutinize and process diesel/petrol bills, vehicle repair, and maintenance bills.
- Ensure each bus has a designated “Bus-in-charge” responsible for student discipline and conduct during travel.
- Monitor discipline among students inside the buses through bus in-charges.
- Arrange transport for students and staff for educational tours and sports competitions.
- Maintain records of study visits and educational trips conducted.
- Regulate drivers and manage assignments across different bus routes.
Purchase Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:
The Purchase Committee is responsible for institutional purchases and procurements — both long-term and day-to-day — to ensure smooth functioning of all branches like B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA.
- To ensure purchase procedures are followed for all procurements.
- Scrutinize requirements received by the Principal from various departments and call for quotations or negotiations.
- Collect at least three quotations and prepare a comparative statement.
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness in the procurement process.
- Recommend suitable vendors for procurement.
- Request technical input from relevant staff as required.
- Scrutinize indents from departments, labs, committees, and other sections.
- Supervise the process of identifying suppliers, inviting quotations, preparing comparative statements, placing orders, and settling bills as per rules.
- Fix responsibility for erroneous payments or orders and issue warnings to improper suppliers.
- Suggest measures for safety, development, and maintenance of old infrastructure and buildings.
- Ensure optimal use of college resources and oversee repair of defective gadgets.
- Suggest measures to dispose of outdated and unusable items.
Internal Complaint Committee (ICC)
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Handle cases and complaints of sexual harassment or any type of harassment of female students and staff.
- Process individual complaints and take appropriate action as per college norms.
- Assist in taking preventive steps against gender discrimination and sexual harassment.
- Organize programs to educate staff and students on gender sensitization.
- Provide counseling services and a 24/7 helpline.
- Use CCTV surveillance to prevent and correct instances of harassment.
- Strengthen physical and psychological readiness of women to handle critical situations.
- Educate all stakeholders on women’s rights and relevant legal provisions for safety and security.
Library Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assist the librarian in formulating library policy.

Hostel Committee

Canteen Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:

- Maintain quality control and address grievances related to food or hygiene.
Games & Sports Committee
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain sports infrastructure and facilities.
- Procure necessary sports and fitness equipment.
- Prepare and monitor sports teams for inter-college, university, state, and national tournaments.
- Promote awareness of physical fitness and sports participation.
- Organize intra- and inter-college competitions and encourage student participation.
- Maintain records of participation and achievements in sports events.

COMPUTER CENTRE & NETWORK MAINTENANCE AND SURVEILLANCE
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Online examination work and backlog during each semester.
- Preparation of computer labs by formatting each computer, installation of desired software & IP address assigning.
- Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
- Keeping the records of all computers and printers in the college.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement computer security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Wi-Fi support in college & hostels including configuring access points, token generation, token distribution, log reports inspection and troubleshooting network issues.
- Projectors, UPS and CCTV management and technical support for repair and maintenance.
- Provide support for computer labs regarding UPS systems and batteries, in coordination with the electrical maintenance department.
- Maintenance & support of CCTV cameras and keeping backups of recorded videos.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including all hardware and software configurations.
SOLAR & ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE
Functions and Responsibilities:
- To provide uninterrupted electrical power supply.
- Installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical lines, cables, panels, capacitor units, and equipment.
- Board electricity bill and energy meter inspection and reporting.
- Internal electrification work of all blocks based on necessity.
- Regular monitoring and synchronization of Solar Power with college supply.
- Inspection of Solar Panels and taking corrective measures.
- Operation & maintenance of distribution transformers, solar equipment, and Diesel Generator sets.
- Energy saving & energy audit management work.
- Electrical safety & inspection work in the campus.
NSS COMMITTEE
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop among students a sense of social and civic responsibility.
- Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters.
- Identify community needs and involve students in problem solving.
- Motivate students to understand the values and philosophy of NSS.
- Help students plan, implement, and evaluate NSS activities and provide proper guidance.
- Act as organizer, educator, coordinator, supervisor, and administrator to improve NSS programme quality.
- PO must undergo orientation course within one year of selection.
- Coordinate NSS activities as per student capability and community needs.
- Utilize internal and external resources to ensure success of NSS programmes.
RTI COMMITTEE
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Bring transparency and accountability in the administration and functioning of the institution.
- Provide information about the institution, faculty, and students to all stakeholders.
- Maintain a Right to Information Cell to offer shareable institutional data.
EXAMINATION COMMITTEE
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Finalize and notify internal examination schedules as per academic calendar.
- Ensure necessary arrangements and vigilance for internal and external examinations.
- Implement evaluation procedures approved by the affiliated university.
- Submit data to the University and ensure timely declaration of results.
- Decide malpractice cases as per regulations.
