Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology and Management was accredited with an ‘A’ Grade (1st Cycle) by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.04, valid from 25th June 2015 to 24th June 2020. Following the institution’s transition to autonomous status, the validity of this accreditation was extended as per the notification dated 16th September 2020, and the ‘A’ Grade status remains valid until 31st December 2024. Furthermore, with the introduction of the Maturity-Based Graded Levels (MBGL) system, the validity period shall continue for three months beyond the implementation of MBGL, as per NAAC guidelines.

Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology and Management (MLRITM) has been recognized under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, dated 23rd January 2014 by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. Now the college is under the head "Non-Government Self Financed" Colleges teaching up to Master's degree to make it eligible to receive central assistance. The college would also be eligible to get grant for all UGC schemes related to teachers and students.

Autonomous Status :

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has awarded Autonomous Status under UGC autonomous colleges scheme, to MLRITM, Hyderabad for a period of five years starting from Academic year 2022 - 2023 to 2026 - 2027. All the 9 UG Courses –  CSE, CSE (AI&ML), CSE (Data Science), IT, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, and Civil and 6 PG Courses - M.Tech (CSE), M.Tech (EPS), M.Tech (Embedded Systems), M.Tech (Aerospace Engineering), M.Tech (Structural Engineering) and MBA are under Autonomous Status.
