TRANSPORT COMMITTEE
The primary objective of transport committee is to effectively organize and provide transport to the staff and students. The main function of this committee is to provide Proper Transport in the institute. It also deals with the allocation of efficient route maps, the maintenance of the buses and communicating the information to the students and staff regarding the timings etc.
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Set the time of starting of the buses from the originating points so as to ensure their arrival at college. Also ensures compliance of drivers with these requirements.
- Supervise the daily bus operation and giving instructions to the bus in-charges.
- Coordinate various bus routes regularly with the help of bus in-charges.
- Handles transport related complaints from students, parents of students, staff, and drivers and resolves issues.
- Review and arrange all transportation paperwork inclusive of driver logs, trip reports and invoices.
- Support management team to supervise transportation personnel.
- Ensure compliance to all security as well as operational procedures.
- To recommend management for additional transport facilities.
- To Review the operation of vehicle in all routes.
- To Review the maintenance of transport vehicles and works related to the RTO office.
- Display the list of students and faculty in concerned routes.
- Stays connected with drivers / bus-in-charges during journey time and assists in Trouble shooting or in case of vehicle break-down, arranges relief/ spare vehicles.
- Scrutinizes and processes Diesel/ Petrol bills, Vehicle repair, maintenance bills
- One staff member from each bus is designated as “Bus-in-charge”. They are responsible for overall discipline and conduct of students in the Bus.
- To monitor discipline among the students inside the bus through Bus-in-charges.
- To arrange the transport for the students and staff for any educational tour and sports Competitions.
- To maintain the records of the Study Visits/ Educational Trips conducted.
- To regulates drivers in different bus routes.
Frequency of Meeting: Minimum 2 times in a Semester or as needed
