Press, Media and Public Relations Committee is established with a view to be the face of the institute and the single touch- point for all the communications of MLRITM. The primary role of the Press, Media and Public Relations Committee is to establish links with the local media and provide regular reports and press releases on campus news and opportunities. The Committee also provides internal external media support for the events organized by MLRITM like Convocations, Conferences, Seminars, Sports weeks etc.

The Press, Media and Public Relations Committee also designs and arranges printing materials to be used in different events at the Institution.

Functions and Responsibilities:

The role of Media and PR committee is to foster community relations with external
Stake holders through several media relation activities,

• It accomplishes this through its regular corporate news letters. Engagement with the print media and by facilitating institute’s online presence across various platforms.
• The Media and PR committee manages internal communication by reporting events happenings and achievements to the administration.
• Faculty and student community provides information related to Institute to the Committee.
• Invites press and media for the events
• Plans to provide the Institute related information by advertisements.
• Preparing position papers on issues of importance to the organization
• Handling publicity
• Issuing news of activities to external audiences
• Establishing and maintaining contacts with the mass media.

Frequency of Meeting: Minimum 2 times in a Semester or as needed
