Internal Quality Assurance Center

To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for the Higher Education Institutions through institutionalizing and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MLRITM is initiated with a moto of catalyzing the quality initiatives and enhancement of these initiatives. The sustenance and assurance of internal systems and processes are taken care through integrated regular quality measurement tools and techniques.

Functions & Responsibilities:

Establishment of Quality Benchmarks:

Develop and apply quality benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities to ensure a consistent standard of performance.

Create and implement direct and indirect assessment mechanisms to evaluate benchmarks for various courses, subjects, and program outcomes.

Regularly assess and track the attainment of course outcomes (COs) and program outcomes (POs), ensuring alignment with institutional goals.

Dissemination and Promotion of Quality Parameters:

Disseminate information on quality parameters across all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding of institutional standards.

Promote the development and application of these benchmarks through workshops, seminars, and the formation of quality circles to engage all stakeholders in continuous improvement.

Facilitating a Learner-Centric Environment:

Encourage a learner-centric approach by creating a conducive environment for quality education and fostering faculty development to adopt innovative teaching practices.

Support faculty in adopting the necessary knowledge and technology to enhance participatory teaching and learning processes, including the integration of ICT.

Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback Analysis:

Regularly collect and analyze feedback from students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of institutional processes and identify areas for improvement.

Develop metrics and evaluate stakeholder feedback to measure satisfaction and guide improvements in quality standards.

Organizing and Encouraging Professional Development:

Organize a variety of professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and symposia for both faculty and students.

Encourage active participation of students and faculty in these events, ensuring they gain valuable insights and contribute to the overall quality enhancement process.

Document the impact of these programs, highlighting improvements in skills, knowledge, and institutional processes. 

Industry-Institute Interaction and Networking:

Facilitate Industry-Institute-Interaction programs that engage students and faculty, promoting real-world exposure and aligning academic efforts with industry needs.

Encourage participation in professional development activities and associations to expand knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities for both students and faculty.

Development of Quality Culture:

Foster a robust quality culture among all stakeholders of the institution, emphasizing continuous learning, innovation, and improvement in academic and administrative practices.

Ensure that institutional quality standards are well communicated and understood by all stakeholders, creating a shared commitment to excellence.

Annual Quality Assurance Reporting:

Prepare and publish the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), documenting all quality improvement initiatives and their impacts.

Ensure that the AQAR is made available on the institution’s website for transparency and to meet accreditation requirements.

Act as the central agency responsible for overseeing and coordinating all quality-related activities within the institution.

Documentation of Quality Improvement Initiatives:

Maintain detailed documentation of all quality-related programs and activities, tracking their outcomes and contributions to institutional growth and improvement.

Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of these initiatives and incorporate findings into future quality enhancement strategies.
