The Context

Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology and Management (MLRITM), Hyderabad, set up in 2009, is committed to holistic student development. Students can find the shift to engineering education most challenging, usually resulting in stress, mental exhaustion, and physical overload. To promote their well-being, MLRITM has incorporated yoga and mindfulness activities into its co-curricular and well-being programs.

Goals of the Student Yoga Initiative

  • Practice standardized yoga and mindfulness activities to create a culture of wellness.
  • Increase physical fitness, cognitive function, and emotional robustness.
  • Enhance academic achievement through stress mitigation and mindfulness.
  • Establish discipline, balance, and healthy habits for long-term success.

Attendance in Yoga and Meditation Sessions
